PixlSugr was started by Kalise Gartner. Kalise started as a sponsored pro gamer in Houston TX (GO! SMASH) and can still be found in local/regional tournaments with her main (Peach). In 2016 she competed in the world famous EVO tournament in Las Vegas. She is currently a VALOR streamer on Twitch.

Kalise found that in her industry, and life in general, equality for women is not represented in a brand that spoke to her. She took some time off from the competitive circuit and worked with the folks at BIGGIE Brands to create a lifestyle brand.
